Power Ranger Mechanics
This is a document explaning how the Morphin Grid works, how the Power Rangers are chosen, and information regarding Zords as well as other aspects to being a Power Ranger.
The Morphin Grid
The Morphin Grid is the energy field that serves as the source of power for the Power Rangers. All are connected this save for a few exceptions. It provides a direct link between the Ranger and their power.
Recently, it has been shatterd thus severing the Power Rangers of the time from their abilities. Now it is starting to attempt to pull itself back together. Teams are considered to be fractured until each of the coins from a specific set has found its user. Once the team is made whole again, Zordon can detect them and act as a mentor to the team.
Morphin Grid Fragments
With the Morphin Grid shattered, the fragments are...disoriented. They migrate toward their next viable host. When the Grid was shattered, it shook loose all of the fragments resulting in more Power Rangers than ever before. As sets are completed, more fragments 'awaken' to find a new bearer of their power.
In the event that the host is unsuitable (If the player of that character drops off the face of the earth or decides to drop a character), the fragment will simply find a new host. If the team was completed, it retains its abilities but their teams should probably be actively seeking out their new member before they get themselves in to some serious trouble!
Thes fragments often take many forms from coins, to crystals to more. Sometimes they will even take on the guise of modern technology if necessary for their survival.
At this time, only Humans are chosen to become Power Rangers.
Only Zordon knows for sure where the Zords are and until the teams are made whole, they will not have access to them. Zords are controlled by inserting the fragment in to the appropriate recess and they cannot be accessed without this fragment.
For the most part, Power Ranger suits will protect the wearer from almost anything coming their way. No permanent physical damage will befall a player character without that player's consent. It's just courtesy.
So this means the admins are going to be implementing a failsafe for these situations where you took a ton of damage but we're not going to kill you. It's built in to the suit. Once the suit takes so much damage, your character will unmorph. Villains will not be allowed to kill your character after this point giving them a chance to get away.
They will need to wait a while (A couple hours in game) at least before they will be able to morph again.
The admins reserve the right to put this failsafe in to action any time whatever damage your character takes would reasonably kill them. We don't want your character to die. But they're not invincible. There are consequences to their actions.
